General
Name: Ben Zellar Boot
Nicknames(and who is likely to use them): His friends in Hufflepuff call him Zellie. Other than that, it’s just Ben. Luc likes to call him Bennie or Benjy, but Ben likes to ignore that.
Age: this is a journal that will encompass adventures from the time he is about 15 to 28ish (2005-2028)
Birthday: April 15 2000
Place of Residence: Hogwarts Hufflepuff Dorms, with his father in Hogsmeade (or Hogwarts staff quarters if his father has work), an apartment in London when he starts Healer training, various Dragon reserves around Europe when Healer training is finished (either that or all around the world if he does the Indiana Jones-type thing!)

Hair Colour & Style: Dark brown, usually styled so his cowlicks look intentional, it runs a little wild most of the time

Build: Slender, on the shortish side, delicate for a boy
Distinguishing Marks: Black, square framed glasses, he’ll get a nipple piercing and a small tattoo of a dragon on his lower back with Liam, Ella & Violet
Dress Style: He likes Muggle clothes, especially screen tees with funny/obscene/obscure quotes on them and jeans. At Hogwarts he’s usually found in somewhat grubby attire as he spends a lot of time in the Greenhouses. As a Healer-in-Training he wears Apprentice robes, and when he becomes a full-fledged Healer on the Dragon preserves, he’ll wear appropriate clothing.

Disabilities/Handicaps: None
Health in general – both mental and physical: Mostly good. He still gets nightmares (from childhood and losing his mother, or the war in general) occasionally, but is good at hiding them.

Personality
First Impression (others have of you): Funny, easy-going, cheerful, friendly, 'hippy'. A born peacemaker. Very likable and kinda adorable, very comfortable in himself and who he is.
General Behaviour: He’s a bit of a nerd, likes to spend a lot of time experimenting with plants and potions (takes after his dad that way). He also enjoys the occasional toke of gillyweed, or other plants he’s crossbred for the ultimate smoking experience. He’s very flexible, friendly and cheerful. Most people like him because he doesn’t really give them a choice not to. His best friend in Hufflepuff is a Muggleborn, and he’s picked up some Muggle slang from spending a couple of weeks each summer with her family vacationing in California. (Especially “dude”). He’s still the “Idea Man” of the group, and has become rather good at convincing his more outgoing, independent friends that it was their idea.
Strengths: Loyal and hard-working, he has a brilliant mind, he’s friendly and helpful and just an all around good-guy.
Weaknesses: Sometimes doesn’t pay attention to details, very naïve (despite Lucas & Liam’s best efforts to “cure” that), sometimes tries to keep the peace too much, hates having to choose a side, and often ends up in the middle anyway.
Habits: Picked up wearing his wand behind his ear from his dad’s friend Luna, usually has a concealed bag of Gillyweed on him (used to diffuse fights or to relax between classes), rubs the back of his neck when worried/confused/etc.
Enjoys: experimenting (with plants!) in the Greenhouses with Leah, “adventures” with his friends (which have changed a bit since they were 5). He still likes pirates, but these days that is a rather secret enjoyment, magical creatures.
Dislikes: There’s not much he dislikes. Being lied to is his biggest pet peeve, along with people picking on someone weaker (except for Liam’s younger brother. He can be picked on as much as anyone wants.)

Family
Girlfriends/Boyfriends: Nothing that could be termed an actual relationship, but he has a friends-with-bennies with Lucas Weasley, an occasional thing with Liam and Ella, and a crush on Violet. He's also fond of Faustus Snape.
Parents: Terry Boot and Abigail Zellar (deceased) (His father probably has a long time lover/husband)

Bloodline: Halfblood (Father is a Pureblood, Mother was Muggleborn)
Family History: His father was the Charms Professor and Head of Ravenclaw while Ben was growing up, but after the war he took a leave of absence for a few years. He returned to teaching in 2020, while Ben finished up Healer training.
Pets: His dog Bob the summer before his first year at Hogwarts, and he hasn’t had the heart to get a new dog. However, there is a new litter of puppies in the village, and one dog in particular who’s caught Ben’s attention.

Social/Romantic/Sexual
Close Friendships: Liam Bletchley Vane, Ella Bulstrode, Violet Davis, Lucas Weasley, Charlotte Weasley, Faustus Snape (He’s pretty friendly with everyone in his year, and the year above/below him as well.)
Known Enemies: Doesn’t even know what this word means. There could be people who dislike him, but he just smiles and offers Gillyweed
Sexual Preference: Bi-sexual leaning more towards men (which he realized after that time he and Liam smoked gillyweed and drank vodka. He doesn't think Liam realized the same thing)
Turn Ons: Guys: muscular, tall, big hands; Girls: long hair, shorter than him, nice smiles
Turn Offs: Bad breath, meanness, poor manners, rudeness

What they think about sex and love: He's pretty relaxed and comfortable about sex, and though he's not a slut by any means. He won't shag strangers, or people he doesn't know reasonably well, and would like some deeper connection than just the physical.
Other: He knows he’s cute, but not in the same league as Liam or Lucas. At 15 he’d be very surprised if anyone expressed interest in him, or if he was thrown against the wall and snogged, though once that happens he's very enthusiastic about sex, and can be both aggressive and more passive, depending on his mood.
